Electronic Air Cleaner
Cleaning the air inside your home is becoming more and more of a necessity. Pollen and mold spores can enter through open doors and windows, bacteria and viruses can spread between family and friends, fine dust particles get kicked up from floors and furniture, and dander and hair fall from pets.
These contaminants can circulate throughout your home, spreading disease or triggering allergic and asthmatic reactions. Adding an Electronic Air Cleaner to your heating and cooling system helps reduce the amount of airborne pollutants by trapping particles as small as .01 microns (that's 10 times smaller than a human hair)!
In addition to trapping airborne particles, Electronic Air Cleaners allow air to pass through an "ionizing" section where they receive an electrial charge. These charged particles are then attacted like magnets to rows of grounded plates.
Finally, cleaned air is then channeled back through your furnace and/or coil where it is heated or cooled and then vented into your home.
More Information
Here's how it works:
- Step 1: Prior to filtration, the air in your home is loaded with contaminants - dust, dirt, pollen, mold spores, bacteria, etc.
Step 2: Larger particles are removed by the aluminum mesh pre-filter.- Step 3: The smaller particles pass through the pre-filter to the ionizing section where they receive an electrical charge.
- Step 4: “Charged” particles are attracted like magnets to rows of grounded plates. (They remain there until filter cells are cleaned)
- Step 5: Cleaned air is channeled to your indoor coil where it is cooled or heated and returned to your home.
